Five Top Skincare Tips

Is the weather taking a toll on your skin? Is your skin feeling a little dry and dull? I think we’re all feeling it at the moment to some extent.  Here are 10 tips to help you improve the condition of your skin.  Its hard to tell when you start a new skincare regime whether it is working or not, so why not take a no make selfie in good light now and another in a couple of weeks – hopefully that way you will be able to notice a difference.

Top 10 Skincare Tips:

      • Get Enough Sleep
Its no secret that our skin repairs itself while we are sleeping.  If your skin is looking a little tired, could there be a real underlying issue with lack of sleep? Aim for at least 8 hours a night and your skin will definitely thank you for it
      • Eat Your Skin Clear
There is a stack of evidence that says that says that certain Vitamins benefit the skin
Try adding some of these to your diet naturally and see if that helps
      • Wear Suncrean
Suntanned skin is damaged skin and this will always have a tendency to look dry and wrinkly.  Ensure you use a high factor sunscreen during the summer months and try to avoid the heat of the afternoon sun (usually from 11am to 3pm).  I have posted before about making sure you and your children stay safe in the sun
      • Follow A Skincare Routine
A good cleanse, tone and moisturise routine is essential morning and night for clear, clean skin
      • Massage The Skin
I recommend using natural products and oils where possible such as those available from Neal’s Yard Massage can help to reduce tension in the skin and the essential oils will help to replace any lost moisture
