Of all the trends in Home Interiors the one I personally prefer the most is seasonality. I love walking into a home and feeling all festive at Christmas surrounded by Christmas Trees and Baubles and the smell of Hot Chocolate or I love walking into a home in spring and seeing an array of pretty pastels and fresh spring blooms.
When renovating our home, we wanted to stick to light colours and keeping everything fresh looking. We have only renovated the upstairs so far; we are planning to renovate the downstairs this year. We will just be redecorating for now, but eventually we would like to let more of the light in from outside. Think bright and airy conservatory to beam light into the lounge with glass sliding doors in between or bifold doors in the lounge that can open up our living space into our garden space. Barrier Components have a great selection of sliding doors to choose from that would really open up our living space. The beauty of sticking to creating a neutral, bright and airy space is that throughout the year then all you need to do to update for “seasonality” is grab some seasonal “on trend” accessories.
Here are some Autumn update that would make you home look and feel autumnal!
Cushions are a great way to add some fresh colour and texture to a room and give it a quick and cheap update. I love these Autumn ones:
Throws are another great way to give a room a cheap and seasonal update. I love the idea of walking in from the cold outdoors on a crisp Autumnal day and being able to snuggle up on the sofa under a lovely cosy throw like this one:
Some cheap accessories dotted around the room or placed together on a shelf can also give the room a cosy seasonal feel. I love these little rattan decorations that you could pop in a bowl or vase and use a table centrepiece – perfect for any autumn dinner parties or Halloween entertaining!
Seasonal Wall Art can make you instantly feel that warm, cosy glow when walking into a room. I love this 5 piece canvas set of Deer:
I hope this post has given you lots of inspiration on how to keep your room light and airy so that you can just add some seasonal touches to give it the perfect Autumnal Cosy Feel.
