[AD] Review: Dr Brown’s Bottles for Reflux

When you are preparing for your first baby you have a tendency to read every blog/book/magazine going and make sure you have all the products they say are essential before your new arrival comes. Then the baby arrives and you realise that what works for one family won’t necessarily work for yours! I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of things we bought first time around that either never got used at all or got used for a much shorter period of time than hoped. As second time parents we know have the benefit of knowing what worked for us the first time & what didn’t.

The first time around we bought a stack of bottles in case of any issues with breastfeeding and it’s lucky we did as at 3 weeks Lily was not getting enough milk and my midwife advised me to switch to formula feeding. We tried a few different brands of bottle but Lily brought up most of every feed – in a projectile manor! We switched to special prescription formula at 6 weeks and also changed to Dr Brown’s bottles. This is when things really started to settle down.

When I became pregnant again we were keen to use Dr Brown’s bottles again because of our good experience the first time. I contacted the PR team at Dr Brown’s and asked if it would be possible to do a review and they kindly sent over the Dr Brown Natural Flow Options Starter Kit

The Dr Brown’s Natural Flow Options Starter Kit contains

• 270ml wide neck bottles (supplied with level 1 teat).

• 2 150ml wide neck bottles (supplied with level 1 teats).

• 2 level 2 teats.

• 2 level 3 teats.

Dr. Brown’s Options bottles works with or without the internal vent system in place. I have been using it with the vented system in place as this is how we used it before. Dr Brown’s state that the system continues to create 100 per cent vacuum free feeding that is clinically proven to help reduce wind related colic in your baby.

George has suffered with colic and reflux and I am glad we chose to Dr Brown’s from the start this time. I would definitely recommend these bottles to anyone whose baby is suffering colic or reflux symptoms.

Disclosure: We were sent the Dr Brown’s Natural Flow Options Starter Kit free in exchange for an honest review.
