Following the birth of her daughter India in early 2017, Made in Chelsea’s Alexandra ‘Binky’ Felstead is thrilled
to announce the launch of her ‘With Love From Binky’ collection with personalised baby gift brand My 1st
Years.  We were lucky enough to catch up with Binky to discuss the new collection and get Binky’s reaction to some of the criticism she has received recently following THAT interview with This Morning.

The ‘With Love From Binky’ collection consists of beautiful, high-quality pieces in either a Pink Crown or
Blue/Grey Speckle print. Designs include a sleepsuit, a pyjama set, a comforter, a blanket and a selection of
bibs. In true My 1st Years style, all options are available to be personalised for that truly unique gift. With prices
ranging from £9-£22 and styles available from 0-3 months – 5-6 years, the ‘With Love From Binky’ collection by
My 1st Years is set to become a staple in your child’s wardrobe this Autumn/Winter 2017.

I love your new collection, what is the inspiration behind it?

Thank you so much! It’s just a dream come true because not only am I a mum now, I’ve been a customer of My 1stYears for years – it’s my go to shop for baby & children’s gifts! My collection has 10 wardrobe staples in two simple, classy, classic prints – Pink Crown or Blue Splash. There’s a sleepsuit, pyjama set, comforter, blanket and a selection of bibs – all can be personalised! It’s available from 0-3months – 5-6 years and prices start from £9 as we wanted to ensure everything was still very affordable – babies and children grow so fast; don’t I know it now!

When did you first become interested in fashion?

I’ve always been interested in fashion, but since I had India I’ve been concentrating more on baby and children’s wear – what looks good but also is convenient. I love personalised bits for babies – that’s why I love My 1st Years.

Who is your biggest style influence?

My mum always looks lovely!

What would be your number one fashion tip?

Dress for YOU! If you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing you’ll be confident.

Do you have any fashion tips for dressing younger children and babies?

For babies, you can’t have enough baby-grows. India has so many gorgeous outfits hanging up but they aren’t practical yet!

What are you most looking forward to about having your own collection?

Seeing other babies and children in my collection, all personalised of course – that’ll make it all feel very real!

You have received some criticism following your interview on this morning about how you were holding India, how do you handle this?

I really don’t pay attention to it – there is so much advice out there, some great advice too. It’s important to stay focused and do what’s right for you and your baby.

As a new mum, do you think society adds a lot of unnecessary pressure to new parents; it seems everyone always has an opinion when it comes to how we raise our children?

As above, helpful advice is great when you’re a new mum but sometimes it can be overwhelming, especially with your first baby.

Being in the public eye, did you feel like you were under extra pressure to get your figure back straight away?

India is my no.1 priority – I worked out during my pregnancy and am starting to again now with my personal trainer, slowly. My clothes don’t really fit me right now but that’s OK, I’ll get there.

What are you most looking forward as a family?

Just more fun times as a family – Christmas will be great, I have some more Christmas themed bits launching in my collection too.

Where do you feel happiest?

At home with JP, India and my dog.

I think any criticism on my parenting skills would definitely knock my confidence a bit as a first time mum! Fair play to Binky for sticking to her guns x
