Happy New Year! How did you welcome the year in?
Having only given birth on the 3rd December we are very much still in the newborn stage so I spent a glamorous NYE of sitting in my pyjamas feeding George! I went to bed well before the fireworks (only to wake shortly after them for another feed ?).
I never bother with resolutions as I have zero willpower. I do normally set goals for the year ahead especially around my blog, but I took some time off to spend with the kids over Christmas/New Year so even that didn’t get done this year. I will probably start afresh from spring and write a spring bucket list!
I am feeling motivated & am finding regular time to blog now that I am off on maternity leave – I’m hoping for big things this year!
This year I want to blog more, create lots of useful content especially content relating to my niche of days out. I also want to take more photos this year now I’ve invested in a new lens & I want to upload to YouTube more too.
What do you want to achieve in every day life?
I’d love us to have lots of fun family days out holidays & mini breaks – we really do love getting out and doing things together.
I never commit to things I dong want to do so there’s really nothing i am not looking forward to!
I am inspired by Aby she has achieved such a lot with her blog & is a very big inspiration and amazing motivator – she has an amazing Facebook support group and plenty of useful content around how to progress a blog as well as a best selling book on the subject!
One of my character flaws is that I am very easily distracted – so my go to background noise is silence ?. If I have the radio on I end up singing away and not doing anything else and if I have the TV on I get absorbed in it!
Talking about positivity what is one thing you will change for positive thinking this year?
I love the calm app but I don’t get to do it enough, I will try and set a regular time to listen each week once we settle into a routine.
Share a positive thing that happened today.
I went into Lily’s classroom this morning for parent reading – they do it once a week and it’s so lovely to be able to see her little school morning routine in action. I watched her put her drink bottle in the tray, pop her coat and bits and bobs on the peg and then head to her tray to put her book bag away then she went and chose her lunch option. It’s amazing how the second nature it all is to her.
