[AD] Mary Berry’s Complete Cookbook Review

The Queen of Baking Mary Berry has released a new complete cookbook with over 650 recipes!!

About The Author:

Mary trained a The Cordon Bleu in Paris and Bath School of Home Economics. In the swinging ’60s she became the cookery editor of Housewife magazine, followed by Ideal Home magazine.  Mary Berry was a judge on The Great British Bake Off & The Junior Bake Off from 2009 to 2016.  In 2012 Mary had the honour of receiving a CBE.

About The Complete Cookbook:

The cookbook is over 600 pages long and contains over 650 recipes.  It is well very laid out and has a handy index at the back allowing you to search for a recipe by ingredient or dish.  The cookbook contains the following chapters:

Hot and Chilled Soups
First Courses
Eggs and Cheese
Fish and Shellfish
Poultry and Game
Meat Dishes
Vegetarian Dishes
Pasta, Rice and Noodles
Vegetables and Salads
Yeast Cookery
Pies, Tarts and Hot Desserts
Chilled Desserts
Cakes and Teabreads

Each section is well laid out and the recipes are really easy to follow.  The ingredients needed are listed in one place; I found this made it easy to just take a picture of the recipe on my phone and then you have a shopping list ready for when you go out to buy it all.  There is such a wide variety of foods, catering for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

The book has a great index at the back which is arranged by ingredient – so for example if you have some chicken in the fridge and you want some inspiration for what to do with it just search chicken in the index and that will list all the pages that contain chicken recipes.  The book is very comprehensive; it has such a wide variety of foods.

I really love this cookbook and would definitely recommend it.

Disclosure: I was given this cookbook for Free in exchange for an honest review.
